What is CBD oil / cannabis oil?
Does CBD oil have a positive effect? What is CBD oil good for anyway? CBD (cannabidiol in full) is a beneficial component of hemp, extracted from it by a highly efficient supercritical carbon dioxide extraction process.
The effects of CBD oil on the body:
Like all living organisms, the human body is a very complex, precisely organised chemical system. Millions of cells are created and broken down in our bodies every day. Each molecule has a role to play in maintaining and regulating our vital functions. Such a regulatory role in our body is played by the endocannabinoid molecules that our body produces.
Recent research has shown that endocannabinoids affect the body's energy production, food intake, the conversion of fats in the liver and fat storage cells, the breakdown of sugar in muscle cells, appetite, pain sensation, general well-being, memory, sleep cycle and even body temperature regulation.
In the interest of honest and credible information, it is important to note that the positive effects of CBD oil are not officially known. So, according to the WHO approved positive effects, CBD oil has no healing or other positive effects on the human body.
Is CBD oil legal to consume and sell in Hungary?
According to local legislation, CBD oils cannot be sold as a food supplement, so most manufacturers' products are marketed as oral care cosmetics and not as a food supplement or food. Therefore, CBD oils sold by CBD Hungary are also marketed as cosmetics.
The use of CBD oils is 100% legal in EU member states, the USA and most of the world.
If you take CBD oil abroad with you:
Be sure to check the local rules in the country of your exact destination and the countries where you will be transferring. Some countries do not allow their use.
It is allowed in all countries of the Eropian Union, the USA, South Africa and South America, so it should not cause any problems when visiting these places.
Known countries where not allowed: China, Russia, most Asian countries.
In Sweden and Norway, only CBD oils containing 0.0% THC are allowed.
One other thing to remember is that if you are carrying hand luggage, you must comply with the regulations for transporting liquids! Do not carry more than 100 ml in a bottle, including cosmetics. Close it tightly in a tamper-evident bag, which you can easily take out at the check-in desk and show to the security staff.
Additional information: the THC content is 0.3% in the US and 0.2% in the EU. Do not import CBD oil from the US that also contains THC, as it may not be allowed under our rules and may be considered a drug.
The effects of CBD oil on the body?
What are the medicinal properties of CBD?
For the sake of honest information, it is important to note that according to the WHO-approved positive effects, CBD oil has no curative or other positive effects on the human body.
How does CBD work?
The human body also naturally produces cannabinoids called endocannabinoids. These often bind to specific nerve endings, CB1 and CB2 receptors, to exert their positive effects, and may play a major role in regulating mood, appetite, pain and attention, for example. CB1 receptors are mainly located in the central nervous system, CB2 receptors in the immune system. The active substances in the cannabis plant are mostly associated with these receptors. CBD acts on substances that block/stimulate the receptors.
How do I use CBD oil and how do I adjust the dose to suit me?
As each person is unique and each disease is different, there are only dosage guidelines based on experience. For most people, twice daily drips have proven to be the most effective. Morning and evening are the most optimal times to take it, however this may be affected if you are taking a medication that CBD oil may interact with and therefore once daily drips are preferable. You can read more about this in the paragraph "CBD and other drug interactions" or HERE.
What is full and broad spectrum CBD oil and how does it differ from CBD isolates (pure CBD)?
What is full spectrum oil?
When CBD oil is referred to as full or broad spectrum, it means that the tincture contains all the beneficial molecules of hemp. CBD (cannabidiol) is still the most important and abundant component, but other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are also present. Full spectrum oils are also manufactured without THC (THC is a psychoactive component of cannabis). In accordance with European Union regulations, the THC content of industrial hemp products must not exceed 0.2%. This amount is so low that it does not cause any psychoactive effects.
What is broad spectrum oil?
Broad spectrum oilis the little brother of full spectrum oils. Most of the active ingredients are also contained in these oils, but THC is extracted during the production process, but all the other active ingredients found in hemp inflorescences are included.
These extracts also usually contain many cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.
These oils are similar in colour and taste to full spectrum oils, just a little lighter and milder in flavour.
The most commonly occurring cannabionides, which are also found in full spectrum products, are CBD (cannabidiol), CBG (cannabigerol), CBN (cannabinol), CBC (cannabichromene) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). In addition to cannabionides, oils also contain flavonoids and terpenes. These substances are responsible for the distinctive colour, taste and smell, which is why each CBD oil is different, because ultimately, from the climatic specificity of the hemp growing area, to the soil and chemicals used, each element plays an important role in the final result. That's why both Cbd Hungary, Happy Garden, and the sole Reakiro consider it important that their entire process from cultivation to production is controllable and traceable. The oils are produced using only hemp grown in Europe, including Spain, Hungary, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia, where the use of pesticides and insecticides is strictly prohibited.
For the specific cannabionid profile of each product, please refer to the certificates issued by Phytovista, Fundación CANNA and other independent laboratories.
An important piece of information about full spectrum and broad spectrum oils is that they have been proven to be more effective than CBD-only formulations, as the different cannabionides and terpenes in full spectrum oils interact extremely well and thus reinforce each other's effects.
What is CBD isolate?
So-called isolate or pure CBDs usually have a fruity flavour, range in colour from oily yellow to clear and are not usually in some kind of cold-pressed oil (carrier), they contain only CBD (active ingredient), so other components found in hemp such as terpenes, CBG, CBC, THC, CBN and flavonoids are extracted during production. They have their role to play, as many people find them more subtle, however these oils lack the synergistic power, the associative potency of full spectrum oils. You can read more about the synergistic effect here: https://orvosikannabisz.com/tudomany/hatoanyagok/kannabinoidok/a-tarsas-hatas/kannabinoidok

Interaction between CBD preparations and medicines
Nearly 60% of the drugs used in medicine are broken down in the liver by a number of enzymes. This breakdown system is called the cytochrome P450 system. CBD is known to temporarily paralyse this enzyme system, which can increase the blood concentration of the drug used and thus its effect.
This risk can be significantly reduced by taking the medication and the CBD-containing product at different times of the day. If you need to take any medication on a regular basis, you should also consult your doctor about the use of CBD as a complementary therapy.
If you need surgery, be sure to tell your doctor if you are also taking CBD. Because of the above-mentioned effects of CBD, sleeping pills may be stronger and last longer.
In general, it is recommended to use the CBD preparation 2-3 hours after taking the medicine and to take the next dose of the medicine 2-3 hours after the CBD application.
Particular attention should be paid to people taking antidepressants, antihistamines, Ca channel blockers, beta blockers, immunosuppressive drugs. When taking antidepressants and antihistamines, watch out for an increase in fatigue and drowsiness. With Ca channel blockers, watch for low blood pressure (dizziness, weakness). With beta blockers, watch for low blood pressure and low pulse. Steroids can speed up the breakdown of CBD, whereas in the case of cyclosporine, everolimus, CBD reduces the breakdown of both, so the drug stays in the blood longer.
If necessary, discuss with your doctor any changes in the dosage of the medicine used.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET INDIVIDUALISED INFORMATION ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MEDICATION YOU ARE TAKING AND CBD, PLEASE CONTACT US AND ONE OF OUR PHARMACOLOGY EXPERTS WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER YOU.
IMPORTANT! In the case of oral anticoagulant (blood thinner) use of preparations containing CBD is contraindicated!

Can I drive under the influence of CBD oil?
Under very strict EU legislation, below 0.2% THC, hemp is not suitable for use as a drug, so it is not intoxicating and can be driven under the influence of CBD. However, it is worth bearing in mind that when consuming high doses of CBD oil, this low THC can accumulate and may test positive in a drug test. In this case, you will need to present the original invoice and the exact name of the product to prove that it is legal to consume in Hungary and has an OGYÉI notification number. Currently, there are no known cases in Hungary where someone has been prosecuted for driving under the influence of CBD oil.
Should CBD oil be stored in a refrigerator?
No need to store in the fridge. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when storing:
- Do not store at excessively high temperatures.
- Store in a dark and dry place.
If you do store it in the fridge, the oil may thicken slightly. In this case, do not heat it in direct heat or in a microwave oven, as this will damage the composition of the oil. Instead, run the oil under lukewarm water for a few seconds and wait for it to recover its fluidity.
Can it be used while breastfeeding, does it affect the baby?
As there is no research that it is 100% safe during breastfeeding and pregnancy, it should not be consumed during this period.
Can THC content be detected in a blood test or at the time of detection? Can athletes use it, will they fail a doping test?
According to the EU's very strict legislation, below 0.2% THC, hemp is not suitable for use as a drug, so it is not intoxicating and can be driven under the influence of CBD. The CBD HUNGARY CBD oils have an average THC content of 0.02% and therefore comply with Hungarian legislation.
However, it is worth bearing in mind that when consuming high doses of CBD oil, this low THC can accumulate and test positive. In this case, you will need to present the original invoice and the exact name of the product to prove that it is legal to consume in Hungary.
For athletes who undergo regular doping tests, taking full spectrum CBD supplements is not recommended.
It is important to point out that cannabidiol (CBD) is an officially licensed substance for professional athletes according to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

My pet is in trouble, can I give him CBD oil?
The Happy Garden CBD products we sell do not contain any ingredient that could pose a risk to animals. Our CBD oils have a low THC content, averaging around 0.02%. Small pets require less oil due to their size, so we recommend the 3% Happy Garden CBD (300 mg) oil, which contains exactly 1 mg of CBD per drop, making it extremely accurate. However, please note that you should use CBD oil on your pet at your own risk and preferably in consultation with your vet.
